'BLOOMIN' GOOD BREAD'
Not only do we think our award-winning bake-at-home banana bread is 'bloomin' good', it’s also super simple to prepare. Grab three everyday pantry ingredients, four over-ripe bananas, mix it all up and chuck it in the oven - then you're minutes away from the biggest, tastiest (and we think the best) banana bread you can get your hands on.
Perfect for school or work lunchboxes, even better before a gym workout. You can also cut it up and freeze to eat later. Just take out of the freezer a couple of hours before you want to eat, and it tastes just like you baked it that day.
We like ours toasted with melty butter or a generous dollop of creme fraîche / greek yoghurt and maple syrup. Yum!
We've spent years baking, inventing recipes and eating enough banana bread to feed a large band of hungry gorillas - only to realise that something that tastes this good should never be kept a secret.
Post Easter, we had a bit of fun with our leftover Easter eggs and moldyfundotcom's custard cream biscuit cake mould. We hacked our banana bread mix to create a delicious biscuit/cake - the fun and delicious factor did not disappoint!
Instead of custard cream, we filled ours with cream cheese filling to complement our banana bread biscuit cake.
